This guide covers Odessa TX events, plus Midland and Goldsmith, from Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 29, 2026. The first weekend brings the last days of the Merry Marketplace in Odessa and Midland's Veterans Parade. Mid month has hockey, bull riding and Christmas shows at the Wagner Noel, the Tejano Super Show is on November 21, and Thanksgiving week has the Midland Turkey Trot, a college basketball tournament and Christmas tree sales. Every item links to the city, county, school district, venue or organizer page. Check it before you go, since times can change.

Goldsmith RV Park & Housing is about 25 minutes from Odessa and about 45 minutes from Midland, so most of these work as an evening out or a day trip. If cold nights are on your mind, our guide to living in an RV in winter in West Texas covers the basics. Last week's events are in our October 30 guide.

Veterans weekend, November 6 to 8

The weekend starts Friday evening with H-E-B's Feast of Sharing, a community dinner at the Midland County Horseshoe from 4 to 8 PM. In Odessa, the Junior League's Merry Marketplace is open at the Ector County Coliseum on Friday from 1 to 7 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from noon to 5 PM, with Breakfast with Santa on Saturday.

Midland's Veterans Parade is Saturday, November 7. A flyover at 1 PM starts it, and the parade runs on "A" Street from Elk Street to Illinois Avenue until 3 PM. The Veterans Celebration follows at Centennial Park from 4 to 7 PM, then fireworks and the Eli Young Band at 7 PM. Veterans Day itself is the next Wednesday, and the Odessa College Concert Band plays a Veterans Day concert that evening.

Holiday shows and markets in mid November

The Wagner Noel in Midland has three Christmas shows before Thanksgiving. The Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet is Monday, November 16, A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage is Tuesday, November 17, and Mannheim Steamroller plays the afternoon of Sunday, November 22. Two of those are weeknights, which helps if your days off fall midweek.

For shopping, the Briar Patch Holiday Event is at the Midland County Horseshoe on November 14 and 15, and the Gifty Christmas Market follows there from November 20 to 22. In Odessa, Parks Legado opens its Christmas tree sales on November 20 and holds evening Christmas Markets on November 21 and 28.

Saturday, November 21 has the longest list in this guide. The Tejano Super Show turns 55 at the Ector County Coliseum, with a lowrider car show, live music and the Miss Tejano pageant at 2 PM. The show's own site lists doors at 11 AM. Santa arrives at Music City Mall that morning, and the Odessa College Turkey Trot runs at James Segrest Stadium.

    Thanksgiving week

Ector County ISD and Midland ISD are both off from November 23 to 27, so this is the week for family plans. UTPB men's basketball has a home game on Tuesday, November 24. On Thanksgiving morning the Midland Turkey Trot starts at First Baptist Church Midland, with a kids fun run before the 10K and 5K. UTPB hosts its Thanksgiving Classic at the Falcon Dome on Friday and Saturday, and the Odessa Card & Collectibles Show is at the Coliseum that weekend. Parks Legado keeps selling Christmas trees Friday through Sunday.
