RV sites and metal carport canopies at the park in Goldsmith.
This guide covers Odessa TX events, plus Midland and Goldsmith, from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 22, 2026. Odessa's last Halloween events are on Friday, Día de los Muertos falls on Sunday, November 1, and the Junior League of Odessa's Merry Marketplace fills the Ector County Coliseum from November 5 to 8. Midland holds its Veterans Parade on November 7, and the second half of the month brings holiday markets, Christmas shows at the Wagner Noel and the Tejano Super Show. Every item links to the city, county, school district, venue or organizer page, so check it before you head out in case plans change.
Goldsmith RV Park & Housing is about 25 minutes from Odessa and about 45 minutes from Midland, so most of these events work as an evening out or a day trip. If you are weighing a longer stay for work, our guide to monthly RV park rates in Odessa explains how monthly pricing usually works around here. Events from last week are in our October 23 guide.
Día de los Muertos on November 1
Both cities mark Día de los Muertos on the same Sunday. In Odessa, the Ellen Noël Art Museum holds its yearly celebration from 1:30 to 4 PM. In Midland, UT Permian Basin presents an afternoon at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center, with exhibits in the lobby from noon to 4 PM and a closing show at 4 PM. The museum is the shorter drive from Goldsmith.
The first weekend of November
The Merry Marketplace runs Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8 at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa. General shopping is open to all ages, and strollers and wagons are welcome, on Friday from 1 to 7 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from noon to 5 PM. The Thursday evening party and the Friday morning brunch are for ages 21 and up, and Breakfast with Santa is on Saturday, November 7.
On Friday, November 6, H-E-B holds its Feast of Sharing community dinner at the Midland County Horseshoe from 4 to 8 PM, and everyone is welcome. If you are here on a job without family nearby, it is an easy way to share a holiday meal before Thanksgiving.
Saturday, November 7 is Midland's second annual Veterans Parade and Veterans Celebration. A flyover at 1 PM starts the parade, which runs until 3 PM on "A" Street from Elk Street to Illinois Avenue. From 4 to 7 PM the celebration moves to Centennial Park, with a Kids Zone, food trucks and a Veteran Resource Village. Fireworks open the evening concert, and the Eli Young Band plays at 7 PM. A morning stop at the 307 Farmer's Market or Basin Action Day still leaves time to reach Midland for the parade.
Holiday shows and markets in mid November
The Wagner Noel in Midland has three Christmas shows in this stretch. The Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet is Monday, November 16 at 7 PM, A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage is Tuesday, November 17 at 7:30 PM, and Mannheim Steamroller plays Sunday, November 22 at 4 PM. The two weeknight shows are worth a look if your days off fall midweek.
Holiday shopping picks up at the Midland County Horseshoe with the Briar Patch Holiday Event on November 14 and 15, then the Gifty Christmas Market from November 20 to 22. Parks Legado in Odessa starts Christmas tree sales on Friday, November 20 and holds its Christmas Market on the evening of Saturday, November 21.
That same Saturday, the Tejano Super Show marks its 55th year at the Ector County Coliseum. It is a lowrider car show with car clubs from across Texas, a Miss Tejano pageant at 2 PM and live music, and it opens at 11 AM. The Coliseum is in Odessa, so it is the closest of the big Saturday events to us.
